Welcome to My New Space - A Fresh Chapter for Celia Marie Art

Hi, and welcome.

Whether you’ve been following my work for a while or you’ve just landed here, I’m really glad you’re here.

I’ve recently refreshed my website - and while it might look like a simple update on the surface, it actually marks a much bigger moment for me.

A Little About Me

I’ve always been a creative and curious person.

Art has been something I’ve returned to again and again - experimenting with different styles, mediums, and ideas, often without sharing much of it. For a long time, I was what I’d call a quiet artist - creating constantly, but mostly keeping it to myself.

Over time, that started to change.

I began leaning into my creativity more intentionally, letting go of the idea that I needed to have a single defined style, and instead embracing the full range of how I like to create. My work now moves across different mediums and energies, but it’s always grounded in themes of growth, emotion, and the human experience.

The Website Refresh

This new version of my website feels more like me.

It’s minimal, intentional, and designed to let the artwork speak for itself. I wanted it to feel like stepping into my studio - calm, a little raw, and centred around the process as much as the outcome.

This refresh also marks a shift in how I’m showing up.

I’m no longer creating quietly in the background. I’m sharing more, building more, and allowing my work to take up space in a way I hadn’t before.

What You’ll Find Here

This space is home to:

  • My original artworks and collections

  • Ongoing and upcoming pieces

  • The stories and meaning behind my work

  • And now, this blog - Behind the Canvas

Through the blog, I’ll be sharing more of the process - not just finished pieces, but the thoughts, emotions, and layers that sit underneath them.

Right Now

At the moment, I’m continuing to build on my Oh She Grows collection - a body of work centred around growth, resilience, and becoming, often explored through women and nature.

I’ve also started a new series called Everything is Fine, which plays with contrast - calm and chaos, beauty and tension, and the quiet ways we hold things together.

Thanks for Being Here

This is just the beginning of a new chapter for me and my art.

Thank you for being part of it, in whatever way you are.

Celia

I would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians whose ancestral lands I work, create and play. I acknowledge the deep feelings of attachment and relationship of the Kaurna people to country, and respect and value their past, present and ongoing connection to the land and cultural beliefs.
